Experience sharing visit of ISSD Sahel actors to Uganda
Within the framework of the ISSD Sahel project, an experience sharing visit was organized from 20 to 27 March 2022 to learn from ISSD-Uganda project. The members of the mission visiting Uganda included SAA-Mali, IFDC, ICRISAT and KIT consortium members as well members of farmer cooperatives and seed companies.
SAA participates in AFSTA Congress 2022
Improved access to quality inputs/seed has been a challenge in Africa for long, the 2022 African Seed Trade Association held a well-attended event with over 148 organizations from all over the world. The Congress was held in Djerba - Tunisia from 28th February – 3rd March 2022 that was attended by Sasakawa Africa Association.
" Pro-environment Market-oriented Agriculture Promotion Project in Ethiopia " approved for the Japanese MOFA’s Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects
On March 14, 2022, "Pro-environment Market-oriented Agriculture Promotion Project ( PREMAP)" of which proposal SAA submitted to the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) for Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects was approved with the total project budget of JPY 82,629,665. This project will start on March 31 in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
SAA Mali participated in the 16th National Cereal Exchange 2022
With the aim of improving the cereal trade in Mali and food security, the SAA-Mali team participated in the "Annual Cereal Exchange" in Segou on 14 & 15 February 2022.
SAA-Mali organized the Annual Stakeholder Meeting in Bamako
On 17 and 18 February 2022, SAA-Mali organized the annual stakeholder meeting at the Modibo Keita Memorial in Bamako under the theme of "Resilience of family farms in the face of the challenges of productivity, processing, marketing and consumption of agricultural products: State of play and perspectives".
