The Visionaries of Uganda Award is an annual event through which the people of the Republic of Uganda and the Government recognize Individuals, institutions both public and private, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and partners alike. These are recognized for their contribution towards the realization of the Uganda Vision 2040 and support to the attainment of the National Development Plan III and impeccable desire to transform the country through the Theme “Taking Uganda to Modernity through Job Creation and Inclusive Development”

Sasakawa Africa Association was recognized as The Best Visionary Agricultural NGO of the year 2020 for its outstanding contribution towards Uganda Middle Income Status Aspiration and Vision 2040.

The award ceremony was presided over by the Uganda Vice-President, His Excellency, Edward Ssekandi Kiwanuka on December 3rd, 2020 in Kampala at Serena Hotel.
