Registration closed: Africa Food Systems Forum (AFSF) Side Event “Food Systems Transformation – Emerging Insights from Mega Initiatives” on September 2nd
The Africa Food Systems Forum (AFSF) Annual Summit will be held from September 2-6, 2024, in Kigali, Rwanda, under the theme “Innovate, Accelerate and Scale: Delivering Food Systems Transformation in a Digital and Climate Era.”
The Sasakawa Africa Association (SAA) is privileged to extend an invitation to a side event titled “Food Systems Transformation – Emerging Insights from Mega Initiatives.” This event will offer a compelling discussion on transformative initiatives that are shaping food systems across Africa.
This side event will reflect on the lessons learned from key interventions such as the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB)-funded Kano Agropastoral Development Project, Sasakawa Africa Association (SAA) projects, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-funded Building an Economically Sustainable Integrated Cassava Seed System project, phase 2, Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation (TAAT), African Development Bank projects, Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) projects in Nigeria, and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) projects. These insights will guide the design of future initiatives aimed at achieving sustainable and impactful outcomes in food systems transformation across the continent.
